Xenient to offer ASD exams

Majinate Limited and Xenient Corporation announced today that Xenient now offers the Accredited Symbian Developer (ASD) exam in conjunction with Xenient's training services.

Symbian OS is the operating system of choice for today's smartphones, powering an established base of over 80 million phones worldwide from the 12 largest phone manufacturers representing 70% of the smartphone market. This market is undergoing rapid growth, creating high demand for competent Symbian OS engineers.

The Accredited Symbian Developer programme provides the key differentiator in identifying engineering competency and Majinate continues to roll out local training and accreditation representation in all markets.

"The United States is an important market for Majinate, particularly as Symbian OS adoption is accelerating rapidly with the recent introduction of devices such as the Nokia E62." said Ian Weston, Founder, Majinate. "Xenient is an established Symbian Training Partner with an excellent track record in delivering services int this market, and we're glad to be associated with them as we deploy this industry-wide standard accreditation scheme."

Regan Coleman, Xenient said: “We're excited to offer the ASD exam to complement our on-site and scheduled public SymbianOS classes and consulting in the US, Canada, and Latin America, and will be available to students of our one-week SymbianOS training Nov 6-13 in Austin, TX, USA. The exam is a useful tool and represents a significant step in the maturation of the Symbian ecosystem”.
